Happy Birthday Deals!

So yesterday was my birthday, and I was reminded about something important:

My actual birth”day” wasn’t celebrated - instead it was a full weekend of no housework, prepared dinners or restaurants, desserts, hobbies, movies, shopping and – of course – birthday deals.

Start signing up for your favorites right now! Some will be great – for example, Red Robin gives you a free meal on your birthday; Wendy’s, however, gives you $1 off coupon.  So be aware as you sign up at your favorite restaurants and whatnot that what you receive might not be a dream come true…

What were my favorites? Over the weekend, I ate my free burger at Red Robin (when you sign up for their eclub, you’ll also receive a $3 coupon good on a purchase). I also got to see a free movie at Regal Cinemas, using a coupon from the 2010 Entertainment Book (I can hook you up, by the way, for $20 – email me!).

Another treat I got was my favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream (coconut 7-layer bar, not available in stores), just sign up for their chunkmail! If you prefer Cold Stone Creamery, they have their own birthday club which equals free ice cream on your special day.

And let’s not forget shopping at the outlets. Using my enews reward and my 20% birthday coupon - combined with a great sale Van Heusen – I got $40 leather gloves for $4.40. I had the Coach coupon for 20%, but I wasn’t feelin’ it, and instead I scored at the gap outlet with my 30% off coupon – jeans, sweater, fleece hoodie, two t-shirts and a dress all for $40 TOTAL.

Then I spent a lovely couple of hours getting a luxurious mani-pedi, but I only paid half – how? Dosha has a VIP/email club with special offers. Usually every couple of months I receive an email with a special reduced price on a variety of services, and this year the mani-pedi coincided with my birthday!
