The 3rd annual Shattering Stigma With Stories conference them is Shameless.
Why Shameless? Because there is no shame in mental illness.
This year, I am honored to share my story about what it’s like to live with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder at this powerful one-day conference. I would love it if you came out to show support.
I attended the Shattering Stigma With Stories conference last year, and I was blown away. Seriously, get thyself to this conference in Portland on March 11, 2017 from 9 to 4. Join us to learn myths and facts around mental health and mental illness, and learn how we can better love those who live with mental illness. During the conference, you will learn about:

About Shattering Stigma With Stories
Shattering Stigma with Stories: Mental Health and the Church is a powerful one-day conference designed to open dialogue and create safe spaces within communities of faith around the issues of mental health.
Church is often the first place someone turns in a mental health crisis or when there are ongoing mental health challenges, and for good reason. Faith communities are known for their caring skill in reaching out to those with an acute sickness or hospitalization with visits, flowers, casseroles and prayers.
However, when the issue is mental health, too often we feel helpless. We are afraid of doing the wrong thing, not sure how to help or what to do. As a result, those who live with mental health challenges wind up feeling isolated, ashamed, spiritually abandoned, and unloved, in the very community where they hoped to find strength. Meanwhile we suffer from the lost opportunity to better love those on the margins.
