A Valentine Rejection

I got your essay because I edit the Last Bell section. It’s beautiful, very poetic, but I don’t think it’s quite right for this section, which I try to keep in the form of stories from the lives of educators. There are exceptions, but that’s what I generally aim for.

I got this email yesterday from a teaching publication. I can’t say that I’m sad about it; it’s one of the nicest rejections I’ve ever gotten!
